Our story began during the trying times of the 1940s Great Depression, when Papa Joe Lowery and his son, Thomas Clyde Sr., began selling mules in downtown Boaz, Alabama. In the 1950s, T.C. "Shorty" Lowery expanded the family enterprise and began selling used automobiles. What started as a modest operation, hauling a handful of cars from Chicago, blossomed into the thriving venture known as Lowery Brothers Motors.
